Concerning performance, the New GMC Sierra 3500 Heavy Duty features two powertrain options. The available 6.6-liter V8 gasoline engine develops 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque that comes mated with a six-speed automatic. For superior towing performance, the available 6.6-liter Duramax V8 delivers 90 pound-feet of torque while offering a maximum towing capacity of up to 36,000 pounds when properly equipped.
To help keep the powertrain cool, the GMC Sierra 3500 Heavy features a dual-path intake system. Plus, an integrated after-run cooling function allows the engine to cool down at idle.
Exterior and Interior Design
The New GMC Sierra Heavy Duty's exterior design is made to offer strength and function while on the job site. The exterior features trailer mirrors and a side bed step for easy access to the truck bed. Further, you can rest easy while driving at night thanks to advanced LED lighting. Moreover, the available GMC MultiPro tailgate offers multiple ways to improve loading and offloading cargo.
