Our team proudly earned the Large Business of the Year award during the Annual Ellsworth Chamber of Commerce Banquet on January 29th in 2020, showcasing our dedication to service to our community.

Going back just a few months from that date, we were acknowledged for our August 2019 Centennial Anniversary and our development of the Quinn Motors Legacy Park - created to honor second generation stewards William S. and Mary Joan Quinn.

Not only are we proud to continue providing service for over 100 years, but we are proud to honor our history. Founder Matthew Quinn, was prominent in Wisconsin politics, and along with son William (Bill), who was a ninth district delegate in Wisconsin, were instrumental in bringing the Kennedy family to Ellsworth. Quinn Motors enjoyed a personal relationship with John F. Kennedy upon his visit to our Ellsworth dealership while campaigning for his eventually-successful bid for the 1960 Democratic nomination.

John's sister, Jean Kennedy was hosted for tea at Matthew and Mary Quinn's home in Ellsworth while John and Robert Kennedy enjoyed lunch at an Ellsworth church. Second generation owner, Bill Quinn, not only picked John up at MSP airport but personally escorted him throughout his tour of western Wisconsin towns in a Quinn Motors vehicle -- by day's end their friendship was born! Needless to say, the Secret Service was different in 1960.
